Notre-Dame de Paris
Unfortunately since the devastating fire on April 15, 2019, the famed “Our Lady of Paris” Cathedral has been closed. Considered one of the finest examples of medieval French gothic, it was built between 1163 and 1345 and popularized by Victor Hugo’s novel The Hunchback of Notre-Dame in 1863. Reconstruction of the damage is scheduled for spring of 2024 and hopefully we’ll all be hanging out with the gargoyles in Quasimodo’s bell tower again soon.
