Uffizi
The Uffizi museum is located in one of Italy’s most beautiful cities, Florence, and is one of the most important Italian museums. It holds a vast collection of art from the Italian Renaissance period, including such greats as ‘The Birth of Venus’ by Sandro Botticelli, ‘Medusa’ by Caravaggio, ‘Doni Tondo’ by Michelangelo, and ‘Venus of Urbino’ by Titian.
The Uffizi is the most visited art gallery in Italy, with over two million visitors contemplating the art every year. If you’re visiting in the high season (especially in mid-June through July), we recommend buying your tickets online to avoid queues — the waiting times may be as long as up to five hours!
